If only we had dated just once
if only we had just kissed
lain together in each others arms
how different our worlds could be
our eyes looking into each other
lost in a duet of devotion
what could we have built
created and shared if we had tried
our hands holding together
for all of what could have been
I often think of you and me
your beauty to my beast
