Marvels Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Marvels

Marvels,

marvels the way it kept life moving,
you could be my friend or an enemy later,

I must have been dreaming since birth,
got to school by chance,
I met my wife by chance and I have become a father,

Then the miracle first boy was born,
Followed by another then another girl,

cruder than a shadow of my former selves,
I didn't expect all these transformation,
didn't expect the tribulations, either,

but like an archangel from the beginning,
You've open my eyes to all things happening,
can be undone at anytime,

Even if this life is bogged down,
stucked, and unappreciated, something happens,

Marvels can happen on the rooftops,
Like heralds beyond horizons,
or terror when closing your eyes,

How day to day, a distant drum is drumming,
the heart's rapid palpitations,
the exuberant parade of the five senses,
A vision in the far, far territories,

that will put pronouncements, announcements,
possibly a homely angel of the morning,
a night with an orgasmic princess,

possibly like an ambulance
whowill pronounced me as dead on arrival.
