Mary Wept

Many there they were
strapping and full
to bursting
and over at the rectory
Mary in a tree
looking through the widow
heavily stained
standing while he sat
crystal antique goblet
coming in one after the other
they all bowed their heads
before it over flowed
she always held her breath
when he approached.
