Masks Poem by Kelly Aragon

Masks

Rating: 5.0

Don't hide yourself,
Behind a mask,
Show who you are,
And how you act,

Smile like only you can,
Go head and show your tears,
'Cause you should know,
That there's nothing to fear,

If some don't like you,
Then too bad for them,
'Cause your free,
Of the masks that they wear,

One day their masks will fade,
And they won't have,
That small facade,
That they use to hide,
Their own true face,

Their emotions revealed,
Anger, Sadness, Love,
They all fly free,
Like an angelic dove,

Now their masks are gone,
So look around and see,
The beauty of the world,
That was once locked up with a key.
