Masquerade - Poem by William Marr

Walking in the streets
he suddenly realizes
last night's masquerade
is still going on

Everywhere he turns
he sees a mask
fastened to a face
like a second skin

(1995, Chicago)

The Chinese version:

昨晚的化裝舞會< br>仍在進行

緊緊套在 臉上

The French version:

En marchant dans les rues
Il se rend soudain compte
Que la mascarade de la nuit dernière
Continue toujours
Où qu'il se tourne

Il voit un masque

Fixé sur chaque visage
Comme une seconde peau

(translated into French by Athanase Vantchev de Thracy)
