Master Of Self Poem by Stephanie T Castillo

Master Of Self

Rating: 5.0

Who gave you the right to hurt me?
Who said it was ok to strike me?
When did you become owner
of me?
My heart is a masterpiece to care for gently.
My being is a delight to all whom appreciate fragile beauty.
I am nobody's property, I am to be free as the highest sky
Uniquely made I am only one compared to none.
Shame on your simple mind
to believe you have rights to me
My highest gives me strength to rise, comfort to heal, and wisdom that I may walk this corrupt place independently.
Im a survivor of bigger
than your ego.
I am no exception, no flaw, no fault, I am simply me.
