May God Bless The New Year! Poem by Isadora Quagmire

May God Bless The New Year!

Rating: 5.0

To all my poet friends and poetesses dear,
I pray for you as the new year draws near;
May God's steady care through each trial be to you known,
Holding your hand so you're never alone.

Though grief may linger and tears may still fall,
May He meet you in your sorrow and comfort you through all;
May He heal the wounds too deep for words to explain,
And turn your loss into hope that will rise again.

When loneliness surrounds you and burdens press down,
Remember God's voice in the hush will resound;
He holds you in grace when your hope feels undone,
May He grant you His peace as the New Year begins.

Let fear not steal sight of the path up ahead,
Nor doubt cloud the truth that His promise will spread;
His grace is enough for each step you pursue,
A compass in hand and His strength will pull you through.

In lines you compose, let His truth be your song,
A balm for the wounded, a place you belong;
Speak boldly of mercy, of hope, and of light,
For words born in faith carry power and might.

Welcome the year with a heart open wide,
God's blessing go with you whether or not you walk by His side;
May joy fill your days with a hope shining bright,
And love be your strength through the dark of the night.
