Maybe I Am Not Mr. Right Poem by Mark Heathcote

Maybe I Am Not Mr. Right

I could mess up and disappoint you
in a million trillion different ways.
But what I need from you is not to run away.
I know there are no fairy tale endings.
Maybe I am not Mr. Right, but that doesn't
make me Mr. Wrong either.
Love is about honour and respect.
And loving someone you could never harm.
You are the radiance of sunlight in my arms.
And the duel halves of the moon's surface
that offer me only one side of its beautiful face.
You are what I am searching and living for,
and if life is love, how do I go on?
How do I go on living anymore without you?
