Maybe Next Time Poem by Leah Johnston

Maybe Next Time

Rating: 5.0

As the wind blows
And branches flow
Against the windy breeze
As I look around at the beauty
It all just seems to freeze
In time it stands still
It’s beauty and it’s grace
Colors all around me
Every which way I turn to face
I want to reach out and touch it
But I hold back
Not wanting to ruin this moment
Not wanting it to rush by
Knowing that it cannot last forever
Not wanting to disturb it
So instead I say Goodbye
And sigh*
Maybe next time
