Me And Your Stoic Silence Poem by manaswini dash

Me And Your Stoic Silence

What made you become so silent?
As if the spring breeze stops blowing
As if a dreadful cyclonic storm is coming
As if it is the precondition of a volcanic eruption
As if the soil is preparing herself for a virulent bursting
Your stoic silence really made me uncomfortable
I could not attribute any reason for such silence
I failed miserably to assess what is going on in your mind
You were looking like a pregnant sky
Holding countless raindrops in your azure clouds
Every moment I was expecting that
You will shower those thunderous rain on me
Like a garrulous person.
Every moment I was expecting that
your hot lava will push me backwards
to drown in the ocean.
Standing in my garden I started sighing for your such silence
fearing that it will invite the summer
and it will enter my garden for snatching its viridity.
Standing on the hard soil of my courtyard
I was expecting a sudden burst
blowing me far away out of your sight with its broken pieces
But nothing happened as per my expectation
You still remained silent without any reaction.
And I still stand before you
being bewildered.

You
