Mean - Spirited People Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Mean - Spirited People

Listening to upbeats of music, captivating and tantalizing
mind and intellect tenderly and gently, pulling them into
the innocence of childhood still held closely within.

Feelings of joy and happiness being played with heart and
soul so beautifully in spite of what's going on with ignor-
ant and spiteful people.

Choosing to stand my ground, never giving into the inane
requests and demands of those who are mean-spirited and
jealous.

Mostly because they're not living an interior spiritual
life that would fulfill them if they did, because leaving
God out of the equation dooms them in life.

It's a tragedy, but it's their choice to do so, as I will
continue to love God and be His instrument through writing
poetry.

Ignoring and putting these people out of mind, asking God
to help them realize what they're doing before it's too
late for them and they die.
