Measures Of What We Call Love Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Measures Of What We Call Love

Songs tempting this mind to come join the race as it goes into
measures of what we call love, capturing momentous days that
once were here in all their glory.

Never wasting any time while everyone begins to finish eating,
rowing boats into the absence of a river, touching upon times
we've had through the years.

Nothing being silenced in this colorful atmosphere, loving the
blending of poetry and music, believing the wonder of every
single measure that we've enjoyed together.

Planning and talking about the logic and reasoning that've al-
ready been written into tomes of yesterday as we celebrate our
friend's return to the band after being ill.

Now being back in the musical saddle so to speak, never to be
discouraged this side of life because there's always a rhythm
to take aside, wonder, and place it upon a star above.
