Medical Error Blood-Letting Death Sentence Poem by Terence George Craddock

Medical Error Blood-Letting Death Sentence

there were times in history when cures
were more dangerous not stopping bleeding
cleaning wounds allowing patient rest

blood-letting was a practice that killed
did not cure when a patient had already
sustained injury significant blood loss

in extreme blood loss blood-letting
was not a cure it was a death sentence
the solution is a blood transfusion
