Medieval art heritage

Whole of the world knows
About how love story revolves
Around powerful king and queen
Only imagery can create love scene

It has dark sides to reveal
The artists were made to feel ill
They were apprehensive of their hands
That they may be made targets at the end

They put invisible hole on top of the tomb
The water slowly seeps in the form of drop
As if they are weeping with pain
Instead of rewards, their hands are cut or are chained

It has earned world fame
But we never see real blames
The artists are forgotten
The Taj mahal*”Symbol of love”, presents lovely scene

The Tajmahal.. Medieval art heritage in India

This poem presents two faces of the history of Taj Mahal- one is fascinating and the other one is ugly. You have rightly pointed out the great divide. Thanks.
