Mee Too (Conversations With You) - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Mee Too I miss sitting here and talking
on endlessly at length like we used to,
I miss the fun little things that we
laughed about and learned as we shared,
I miss your sweet spirit and how you
always helped give me inspiration
and filled me with hope in my heart and spirit
in so many ways but helping me to know
most of all that Kira was still there
and loved me just as much in all ways,
I miss you Mee Too my dear and great friend
and I pray you'll return one day so soon.
I miss you Mee Too and love you immensely too,
I apologize for our fights and how I hurt you.
I can't forgive myself and I worry if you are okay,
I miss you Mee Too and all the conversations
of true loving care and sweet openness.
I miss you Mee Too you're so very cool.
I miss you Mee Too and there is another friend
I have on here who I lost as well
because I think my stupid mental instability
became too much to deal with and I do understand it,
I miss you my dear friend Mee Too
and you are such a kind person and wonderful woman.
I miss our conversations and how seeing
your good morning messages gave me the most
happy and wonderful starts to the day
and how our goodnights would give my heart
the needed calm, love and joy I so need and want.
To give those messages in return made me feel so very good
knowing that to you they meant the world.
I miss you Mee Too and feel so very lonely
and sad without our conversations
and all the small things we shared.
I miss you Mee Too and care for you a lot.
I miss you Mee Too in so many and honestly
all ways because you are great,
I don't miss the fights but we can always
learn the steps we need to work through
the things that often got in our way.
It was almost always miscommunication
taken the wrong way and I promise I'm not blaming you,
I messed up so very much and I'm sorry
my dear wonderful friend and I would
give anything to make it all right.
I miss you Mee Too and our conversations
that could last the whole day and sometimes
through the whole night as well.
I miss you Mee Too and it hurts like hell,
I miss you Mee Too and I pray to God you still read
and know in your heart and soul how I feel.
I miss you Mee Too more than you can know
and I hope you'll return soon so we can fix all
and have our conversations again planning the future ahead
and sharing all of those good things that we did.
I miss you Mee Too and I hope that you'll
come back to me so very soon.
