Wildflowers like spring bluebells on the wind
Make my soul pine to be one day dust.
Sorrow has a melancholy over me I mistrust.
But when it's scented, it fills my lungs with lust.
For a company I can't trust but know I must.
Wildflowers like a dais of mountain heather
Make me - hanker - for better weather.
I ache with every divine connection in my soul.
Worse -if it's a yellow primrose by a stream.
Or a foxglove towering above the nettles
Wildflowers like creeping thyme or lofty tree myrtle
It makes my heart feel wonderful.
Especially if the sun is whispering, just be mindful.
This day will never come again.
Just be mindful.
Something or someone will burst your bubble.
Melancholy and wildflowers
Will never come again,
It's an institution without any county or country.
It's how we wile away the hours.
If you're a painter or a poet
Melancholy and wildflowers
They are darts in our hearts.
They are a bullseye hitting the mark.
'I ache with every divine connection in my soul.'
'Melancholy and wildflowers
They are darts in our hearts.
They are a bullseye hitting the mark.'
Salad days are not so frugal for you and me.
Not when the scent of bluebells roams on a cloud.
Through the shadows
And your heart doesn't beat so loud.
