Melt Slowly Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Melt Slowly

I burnt with thread
I was fully consumed and dead
As candle, I had my identity
Fully conscious and alive to eternity

Somehow I tried to escape
But could not trap
The thought in cage
It was fault of an age

I loved him from heart
He was lovable and smart
It was just beginning
I was already dreaming

I was chased by your charm
That was causing me harm
Making me restless every now and then
Let us talk and compromise even

I shall melt slowly
In your love that is so lovely
I shall hide and speak
But silently whisper and speak
