Memento Poem by Logan Pope

Memento

Rating: 3.9

The day is breaking with such lament
As I pace my way with my head bent
I saw your face on the freezing ground
And worked my way out without a sound
And on the table your locket lay
Another blow to this lurid day
I paused, I stopped and screamed in torture
For your long and grave and sudden departure

Concise yet expressive composition... Nicely written.. Your actually poetic LOGAN! .. haha.. Though I wonder why is it so dark, so dismal, so grievous... What pain caused you to write this? ? Keep writting... :)

I enjoyed this poem with it's deep thoughts on the passing of someone special in this person's life.
