Memories
There are people
In this world
Who believe with their hearts
That memories should not exist.
They go through life
Trying and trying
To rid themselves
Of the memories their minds store.
Little do they know
That those memories
Are the only things that are keeping them
From forgetting who they are.
Those of us
Who know very well
That the only thing that keeps us sane
Are the memories that we treasure.
