MEMORIES

I have made a home, home made from a rainbow of memories
where one room leads to another laden with memories
I open the front door, your honest face with innocent smile greets me
The innocence and honesty that transformed my soul forever
In the next room lie memories when we two were wrapped in love
Discovering each other and a whole new world of compassion
Small in size but can accommodate me enough for whole my life
I move forward; millions of butterflies fluttering with in me whenever I felt your touch
Doesn't matter real or virtual; I knew it was mutual
I cant see any further in my home; its all dark
something hurts my feet and it bleeds
I notice the Broken pieces of your heart and soul
placed in softly so no more can break
I try and try and fail with the hope that they no more ache
Memory of my mistakes echo and make a defeaning noise
Finally, with the memory of shattered wishes, I have to make a choice
sanity demands to get out, throw the keys and erase memories
not ready to lose identity; I stay inside my home and embrace my memories
