Memories Of A Distant And Close Past Poem by Dean Simpson

Memories Of A Distant And Close Past

Waking up to the thought of you
It hurts more and more
As the days pass me by

Looking at the pillow
That supported my head
I remember the way
It once supported yours too

Walking 'round the same old surroundings
All i can see
All i can hear
All i remember
Is you

The sticker you left on my wall
The letters you slipped in my letter box
The bed i lay in that you once did too
All of this
Reminds me of you

What was once a reality
Is now i memory
All of which
Are memories of you...
