As I look out the window,
on this cold night,
remembering our time together,
our dreams now out of sight.
With the window open,
I can hear the cars drive past,
releasing poisions in the air,
a new curse has been cast.
Looking down on the grass,
memories of the fields we'd walk,
the countless hours strolling
and the hours we'd talk.
So I look up at the trees,
that reach up to the sky,
I keep asking myself,
'why did you have to lie? '
Now I realise why I dont look out the window,
at this beautiful view,
the simple answer is,
because it reminds me of you.
good job with this one, Kev. very romantic & heartfelt - not too nostalgic as you were careful to link your surroundings.

Heartfelt, the memories can be painful. Replace the bad with new. Then look out the window and smile. Patricia Gale
