Memory Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Memory

Memory

Like Jami, the Persian poet, well-known
I feel losing my eyesight
Yellow is the page
My writings illegible…notes during drive
A year back…last year; near Woodstock.

But what?

They do not make sense
How great and important were they then
When I noted them
I wonder! ! !

Damn you memory.

Even then I wrote: “I miss home…of…childhood.”
