Merely A Dream Poem by Rylie Shoop

Merely A Dream

And she plummeted, just as a sinking ship glides down to the ocean floor.
She plummeted down, down, down.
And as she plummeted down, down, down, her eyes turned to milky saucers.
Her ears filled with the water for which she plummeted down into.
And there at that moment,
She felt at peace.
She was no long stuck living a lie which constantly ate away at her day in and day out.
In that moment for which she was plummeting,
She felt it lasted for what seemed to be an eternity.
Slowly as she went down, down, down, everything stopped.
And this, exactly what she had been dreading, just occurred.
She awoke from her slumber to only learn that what she had been dreaming,
was merely only a dream.
And that's what it would forever be,
merely a dream.
