Mesmerize Poem by K J

Mesmerize

Mesmerize,
Hypnotize,
Spinning thought the hourglass,
A thousand words,
a thousand thoughts.
A thousand minds,
all are lost.
To the tangled webs of life,
to the hungered mines of famished strife.
To the starving bladed knife,
to the love my lives have lost.
Spiraled down the crying hole,
of bloodied tears
and awkward lulls,
And tiny, knife-edged wretched fears.
That watch you live
and watch you die.
That watches your birth,
and watch you cry.
Stalking you with every breath,
each careful movement
each planned step.
So silently they hypnotize,
Caught under the spell,
the rhythm dies.
