Meteor Poem by Alex Grove

Meteor

I want to be like a meteor,
Travelling into the dark depths of space,
Never pretending to be a star,
Fading out eventually, leaving the shiniest trail.

This is supposed to be a man's life,
Wondering through events and time,
Back and forth between heaven and hell,
Because life isn't fair and kind;

Then you die, trying to cast your sign
