Michael Poem by michael Smajda

Michael

When I was born
September morn,
Oh, my parents
Were full of glee.
Such admiration
O'er their creation,
Michael was the name
They gave to me.

From that same day,
I'm proud to say
I've liked this chosen name.
It stands for good,
As all men should.
I bear it without shame.
