Microprocessor Poem by Avik Datta Gupta

Microprocessor

Chip sized, digitized, knave of honour,
I am your VLSI microprocessor.
I act on instructions and all your commands,
That you delete or demand
Only when I understand
The instructions you had programmed
You gave me a number and made me carry a label
Now I am inside that gadget on your lap or study table.
I fetch you your answer, if you know what to ask
Can do whatever, you put on my task
I can be your master although I am your slave
I have your lost memory which you once cared to save
I may be quite tiny but I have a lot of space
I have the pictures of your changing face
I am logical always even when you are not
I can do many things that you cannot
I have been sitting for long in this PCB slot
Designed to obey you on the spot!
