Questions Poem by Avik Datta Gupta

Questions

Rating: 4.3

To be, or not to be..
The person that you want to be
It's not the question
But a difficult choice
It is a choice between
Uncertainity and unhappiness
The soothing shades of dark shadows
Or the brilliant light of the day
Sweet music in our souls or scary noises at it's background
That is playing back the sound
Of your accumulated wisdom of experiences
Over and over again!
And your instinctive decision would decide
Your valour's grit and its goals
The better half within became better
Because you made it greater
Nothing new! nothing great!
That's how it was, it is and will be
It's programmed within
And as you think and are on the brink
Of your confused actions
Like a half baked bread
Some unknown spirit within you
Draws you to safe space
Of it's understanding
A mechanical habitual choice
Against your conscious will
You fret and curse the universe
Of your being..
Or wishing for a little more..
Time and space to do the things undone
And the energy to accomplish
And fight against..
A cleverly crafted paradox..?
Or some unknown universal conspiracy?
Or some strange vibrating resonant frequency?
That's the way you are..
Perhaps that's how you have been
And you have always wondered why?
That's the biggest bundle of questions
