Midnight Feast Poem by Jeremy Horsford

Midnight Feast

Drifting through a summers night,
whilst counting sheep.

The warmth of my partner cradles
my subconscious.

Plans of the future warm my heart.

Serenity on the horizon, glides
down to pillow my thoughts.

Finite is infinite in nature,
drawing on unperishable reserves.

The moon will soon become the sun,
lighting the journey for yet
another day.

Dreams are inevitable, as my eyes
feel heavy.

The night is calling, as I float
towards the call.

The last orders are taken and it
is time to say...goodnight.
