Midnight's Hymn Poem by Christopher Hopkins

Midnight's Hymn

Rating: 5.0

Good night my love.
Good night,
my love and truth.
I must give you up,
for the hours to pass.
For if awake I stay,
no sun will rise.
Our love has stopped all clocks.
I must give you up the dreamers trance,
until that time,
we wake again,
our thoughts intwined,
as mind and limb,
warm in our lovers den.

Beautiful romantic piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned from the heart with insight. A lovely depiction of a voyage of pure bliss that is love. Thanks for sharing Christopher. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.

Our love has stopped all clocks - il nostro amore ha sospeso il tempo - it's a good image, indeed
