Miles From Nowhere (Edited) Poem by Cory Jensen

Miles From Nowhere (Edited)

Rating: 5.0

Away from the town of the Broken-Hearted
The city of Tattered Souls,
and off the outskirts of the Lost I stand.
Upon the restless sands of the weary
Blowing in the sorrowful winds,
On the borderline of the Vengeful
Cowering in the shadows of hatred and pain,
I try to find the Light to drown it all away.
Over the hill of Love at first sight
Lies the rushing river of Pointless Tears.
The waterfall of Everlasting Life,
I'm near the Cliff of Devastation,
Around the bend is the Gully of the Forgotten Promises.
The stars of the Fortune shine overhead.
Roses bloom in the Meadows of Light.
In the forest of the Grieving,
Stands the Shrine of Misfortune.
I'm on the crossroads of Peace and Everywhere
I'm miles from the Bridge of Nowhere
Nowhere is where I want to be.

Okay...I must tell you, I have read three of your poems and I am now a huge fan. You have a gift Cory. A way with words, a unique creativity, poets eye. Nuture it, love it, cherish it. And keep 'em coming. I see great things for you. :) I absolutely love the choice of words, the witty nature of this poem.
