Mind Your Business Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Mind Your Business

A random feeling came over me
After all i'm only human
and I must admit
An attraction exist
I ask, what are you doing?
but who am i fooling?
Because if i took you for a ride tonight
Tomorrow would have me feeling empty and hollow
Believe what you want to believe
What are you looking to acheive?
See you want to be talking about something
Always trying to make something of nothing
Not even three months in
and there's some hype
But then time again
I shouldn't be surprised
When meeting someone new
you're trying to feel for a vibe
When i met him he was cool
He was the nonchalant type
Maybe you get use to the attention
often associated with this life
While sometimes you become uncomfortable
intimate moments never remain private
Caught at your most vulnerable
When all you want is a little quiet
Without being a fixture
Of media gossip
