Mindless Trappings



You've allowed that to happen.
As if any excuse used,
Would be good enough to make it disappear.
You made it clear you did not understand!
And I want it known...
I understood too well!
I do not offer myself as a sacrifice,
To those mindless trappings!
I am too familiar with the ground,
Upon which I stand.
