Minds Of Their Own Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Minds Of Their Own

Mind feeling like it's tied in a strait jacket at times,
because of stress being caused by other people who don't
understand creative, artistic and musical individuals.

Always attempting to put them into categories where they'll
never fit in, filling them with chagrin and animosity as
they turn inward.

Writing of the deviations other people try to make them
accept, but creative and intelligent individuals have minds
of their own.

Free to think and act on their inner senses, either accept-
ing or rejecting instantaneously what another is saying or
expecting from them.

An intuitive knowing - a sixth sense if you will - has an
interior alarm that's set off if another tries to derail
them from their essence and passion.

Others may be hurt or put off by this sudden turn of temp-
erament, because they've interfered with that individual's
creative thought process.

Disrupting it, annoying mind and intellect, a very real
truth of an intellectually creative person and their innate
talent.
