Mine is an open Heart.
Layed open for you,
Exposed.
There is no choice
For me, but to keep it there.
Waiting on your discretion
To love it or lay it or leave it grieving.
Every thought of you
Goes straight from this Heart and back again.
Circling round and round,
Beating in rhythm of my breathing.
For every breath taken in
And every breath released
Just keeps this Heart living,
Gives Love it's increase.
There is no protection
And for now, no fear
That you won't hold
My Heart so dear.
But time will come and
Time may change
The intent or focus of your attention
And this Heart, layed open
Exposed
Will suffer sadly
That your Love will go.
