Say not a word,
For silence is golden;
Heeding the warnings,
Of abusers from past,
And abusers of present.
The miracle of silence;
Hiding your secrets,
Cloaking your shame,
From all who would see,
Imperfections and impurity.
Life-breathing stillness;
A guarantee of existence,
Cold and absent of trueness;
A self devoid of wholeness,
And decaying pain within.
Silence - miracle or curse?

What a good write. Yes it can be a curse to speak out - but to keep it all in is a curse too... so long as it does not do harm - especially to oneself, I think get as much out as possible. The miracle may be found in all those songs & poems out there :)
silence-in one word saviour! i hope u agree... true miracle or curse, no one knows! a good write..keep writing!
Silence some times can say far more than words. Very well put, and an excellent theme. Tango.
Good point, most of the times silence is a curse.......allow me to thank you for your comments in voicenet, i do not know how to reply there......
Agree with Christopher Savin, silence can be either good or bad. It can be a show of strength or weakness. Hidden secrets or nothing to declare. Typically good poem from you.
silence is the time when you really can hear you inner being speak...I like this piece a lot. Tess

I like the begining, 'Say not a word, For silence is golden, ' fortunately for me though, I seem to have decided on the answer to the last line. for that decision you'll have to read my poem, 'Buddy' which hopefully will reveal some needed truth on the matter. -nkuli
