Misgivings, Like Winds From A Trumpet Poem by james watkin

Misgivings, Like Winds From A Trumpet

Misgivings, like winds from a trumpet
Ahead of summer blew.
Breakers at summoning distances
Sycamores on alert
Legions of flaming helmeted days
Their fury to divert.
Otherwise a stick of ice
All that require you.
