Miss Haiti Raquel Pélissier: The Most Beautiful Flower Of The Universe Poem by Hebert Logerie

Our beautiful Rachel, after so many efforts and sacrifices,
Deserves multiple diamond crowns and fireworks.
The beautiful polyglot, without excess, exegesis and prejudices,
In this strange winter, is the most ingenious of the semifinalists.
In our opinion, Raquel is the winner of the beauty contest;
Obviously, the brightest sparkle on the blue sea tracks.
Here she is walking proudly on the velvety carpet of the clouds:
Our Anacaona of yesteryear, the Queen of Ayiti. What an image!
What an exceptional beauty for a charming mermaid!
A resilient woman, a chouchou calming anxieties and dolors
Of our people athirst for heroines, good and beautiful models.
We offer our felicitations for the efforts, dedications and tenacities,
She simply used her own wings, in spite of the impossible obstacles.
Foolish error of fate, Raquel was nominated the first finalist of the night;
Deep, deep in our hearts, Raquel is the champion, the first beauty
At the pageant, in Manila, where she was applauded triumphantly;
Without prejudice and limitations, without irony and hypocrisy.
Raquel will remain in our hearts, in the history of the gala,
And in the bowels of the spectators: the brightest star,
The rose of spring, the shining beacon of beauty, love, and décor,
And the Haitian who maintains her history and pride with ardor.
