Missed Chances Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Missed Chances

In life we all have chances to excel, travel, go on
adventures, challenge ourselves, yet more often than
not we let these chances pass us by.

Not having the gumption to allow ourselves to toss
away doubts and fears into waste baskets where they
actually belonged all along.

Moving towards sunsetical horizons, not wanting to think
of all our missed chances, chalking them up to mistakes
that were never really made.

Those were just excuses given to ourselves, losing the
moments of our lives forever as we sat idly by, not even
trying anymore.
