Missing Mom This Christmas Poem by Dr John Celes

Missing Mom This Christmas

Poor mother’s in the hospital;
She had some surgery;
And father’s busy at his work;
Tom boy is all alone.

’Tis Christmas time and holidays;
Bit boring for the kid;
And all he has is his small dog
To talk to and caress.

A brand idea entered his mind –
‘Set up a Christmas tree! ’
He plucked a branch of a flower plant;
Put it in a bottle to stand.

He tried his best to decorate;
He found nothing at home;
He laid some threads like festoons and
Hugged his doggy friend, tight.
