On that day when winter's veil had lifted and the brightness rushed Back in.
We found a misty land, where we laughed at time and talked of the Cosmos and a billion suns.
We stood there stoney still, cemented.
We heard the sea, smelled and drank it in and we said no words.
It was our place, our world made for us.
We sat and became us and no others dwelt there,
Just us existing as we not I, and we knew, we just knew.
On that day we then rejoined the world
It was full of bright and dazzley things, endless smiles and small Touches
Donuts and tee shirts, pool balls and seagulls and our minds full of
Silly giggles and more small touches
And then when our eyes said it was right
I smelled you, tasted you, breathed you in and we touched
Oh how we touched and touched
Then we laughed at the wonky bits, they did not matter, it was a saucey Time, a moistened time.
We took a shower and washed away the fun
And as we raced home chasing the hair
We sang out loud and said silent things about our day
and we knew, we just knew
Delightful, you let us in on that special part of your life. Thanks for calling to mind my own memories of when 'he and me' first knew 'we were we'.
This is an adorable moment in your time Mick! So full of everything that love binds with...it brought a tear for those times, I had almost forgotten. Love is a wonderful thing and makes your poem sing...smiling at you, Tai
