Mistake Poem by taylor wiebe

I use to think you were my world
until it all came crashing down
you used to be there with every heart beat
now im use to skipping that tempo.
you saw me through the darkest of nights
and lead me towards the light
but now i realized
you were the one holding me down
from being who i am
and doing the things i love to do.
you were right when you said we are to different people
but that didn’t mean we couldn’t of stayed together
our differences are what makes us beautiful and unique
and you just keep chiselling down with your hammer
every last piece of me that i put forth to the world
i felt like i was put there instead of belonging
you blame me
I blame you
but in the end we can only blame each other
but we have ourselves to blame
for the hurt we experienced
and the misery we both carry around
the regret that we didn’t do thing that we should of
when we got lost in a moment
instead of perfecting every detail
we should of just let it all go
but now its to late
your making up for your mistakes now
while i write mine down
in the end i realized that i stumbled upon you randomly
a random mistake
and a mistake is just what you are;
