Modern Times
Love is restricted to the biological needs
Emotions are taken care by the therapy
Depression is treated by the experts of allopathy
Loneliness is set aside by video chats, music and sleeping pills
Empathy, sympathy and EQ all are being discussed
Only during motivational talks
The vastness of earth and sky is being measured by google maps
Years will come and years will pass by
Although writing on the walls is crystal clear
Yet they are busy in taking selfie and snapshots.
A true picture of today's world, Asim ji. You have included everything in this poem The modern technology has brought in so many devices and gadgets that the mind is constantly seeking outbound pleasures. The journey inwards has become a rarity. I take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful 2019. God bless.

We fail to see the real danger ahead! There is internal decay! Without treating it, we look for external symptoms and try to administer remedies! It will be so futile! The sickness of modern world and our over dependance on technology are so powerfully presented!
