Moment In Your Life Poem by Natasha Andeyi

Moment In Your Life

You love it when I pick up the energies that exist from your moment in time,
Well, I like it when you give me a moment in your life.
I know you're the booked and busy type,
So it'd be my bad to complain that you're never around.
I just wish you'd stop with all the ghosting for the daily acts.
You already proved your point so quit acting like you never need me in return,
I'm not asking for much, just a moment in your life.

The length of the text barely reveals any effort,
Like you do it for the sake of the mention,
Even though I almost always tell the words you avoid typing,
As you said, I'm good at picking the pieces of the missing puzzle.
If only you'd quit with being shallow,
Unless you're planning to maintain strangers for our title.
If not, it'd be the extra mile of granting a moment in your life that counts.

Maybe this is too much to ask. Maybe I'm crossing way too many lines.
But life without risking is no living, and you know YOLO is my forever thing.
So let's quit pretending we don't exist in the back of each other's minds and just step into each other's lives.
Say the things we keep practicing to say and do the things already done in our heads.
Because if not now, we should never complain about what could have been.
The moments that cannot be had with any other besides us.
If yes is your answer, allow me to follow it up with a moment in your life.
Of course, with many more to come.
