This Mother's Day....I write...in remembrance
....Thanking the Universe for all it's wrought
Including this jewel of a woman...it lent us
And the marvelous joy her wisdom taught
I won't tolerate bickering amongst you
....Physical fighting....there'd better not be
As brothers and sisters you will get along
...Under threat...of the....old elm tree
Certainly you'll have disagreements
.....She'd remind us....from time......to time
Whatever the issue - you will...sort it out
Somewhere finding....that meeting...of minds
Remembering her and church on Sunday mornings
.....Me...and my siblings....all tagging along
Memories abound...glorious the sound
...Her humming....those old...gospel songs
Honoring....and treasuring her memory
....Never once...ever raising...her voice
Helping others always a priority...
She viewed it...as a matter...of choice
This Mother's Day...I write....in remembrance
....Thanking the Universe for all it's wrought
Including...this jewel of a woman...it lent us
And the miraculous wisdom her kindness taught
