Money & Dignity Poem by Freeyad Ibrahim

Money & Dignity

By Freeyad Ibrahim

My poor neighbour said to me:
If God were just,
you would have got more money
I said unto him with certainty:
God is more than just
For He has given me understanding
and reason in plenty
For if I had more money,
I'd have probably not shared my meal
with a poor miserable creature,
and those who sleep with their stomachs empty.
For the rich are often more
Concerned about Money
than dignity and humanity!
