Monger Of Many Faces Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Monger Of Many Faces

Monger of many faces

No one needs peace
Everybody wants land into pieces
Every now and there, there are claims on land
Mighty nations turn their eyes on foreign land

Mighty rules
And weak bears pale face
How can it fight such terror?
Where is place to live with honor?

Peace remains things of past
Who remembers Lord Buddha and her views on casts?
Why did not we tolerate Mahatma Gandhi and opted for division?
Entire sub continent is suffering from partition

Daily hundreds are butchered
Either heavy bombardment is carried out
Missiles are directed to eliminate
Still nothing is seen as fate

Monger of many faces emerge
And carry threats with aims to purge
But who is killed daily?
Only innocents, children and helpless aged and poorly
