QING LIANG GE - The Clear Cool Song
-- by Monk Hongyi (1880 -1942)
-- Translated by Frank C Yue
O The clear cool Moon,
Shining from the heart of Heav'n soon,
So pure and bright, its yellow light!
Now, let's all sing the Clear Cool Song --
In laughter, cleansing our hearts bright!
O The clear cool Wind,
Blowing away anger (and sin) ,
Blowing them away till unseen!
Let's sing the Clear Cool Song once more --
With Summer heat gone, harmony for all!
O clear Water fine,
In the crystal running Stream cool,
It cleanses all the dirt and slime!
Now, let's all sing the Clear Song Cool --
Happy are those clean in body and mind!
Clear and cool -- Clear and cool:
It's supreme for me and you,
Truly -- Always The Truth!
