Mood Soother Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Mood Soother

A choice to choose,
Refusing feeling gloomy.
Is easier to say than it to do.
In these days and times,
We live.
And know them witnessed.
Has made ignoring news,
To excuse.
When all is wished to get is...
A mood soother!
A thought or two that changes,
Attitudes.
Uplifting to remove dark clouds.
Allowing the Sun,
To shine bright.
Even if done day and night!
Within our minds.
And hearts to glow.
Leaving behind all the darkness.
As if this satisfies an appetite.
Everyone today is needing,
A mood soother.
Something said positive heard.
Something said accepted,
To hear.
Uplifting all minds.
From negative attitudes.
Uplifting thoughts to chase...
Those dark and gloomy moods!
To chase.
Away!
Those dark and gloomy moods!
To have the Sun replace.
Those dark and gloomy moods!
